We hired a private tour guide to take us around. His Web site is: http://www.damianadventure.com/
Damian picked us up at 9:00 a.m. He was very handsome and 32. He has 2 children and 5 dogs and lives on a farm. He also works for the Mayan Palace. He makes more money then both of us combined, but Aunt Char insisted on buying hin food/drinks. She also felt sorry for every homeless person on the street! I just kept walking!
We went to Cochas Chinas, the Malecon/Boardwalk, River Cuale, Wal-Mart, Pitiffil, and even to his Grandma's house! His Grandma lives on the steepest street I've ever seen.
He was very knowledgeable, and I know you won't believe this, but I did not buy one single thing! I think I can sign up for the Guiness Book of World Records.
We were gone about 5 hours.

It sounds like you are having a lot of fun (I have to admit that I am jealous since I haven't been to Mexico in a few years now!) I love reading about your adventures. I hope you are practicing your Spanish. You should be fluent in no time!
Deanna, any time you want to go on a trip with me, just let me know. There's a nice FAM to Costa Rica in September.
